Strong 9% revenue growth but flat profit; buyback boosts EPS while cutting net worth and cash.

Wipro reported Q2 FY27 consolidated revenue of Rs 24,753 crore, up about 9% from last year, and net profit of Rs 3,200 crore, down about 2%. Growth was led by Europe and APMEA while Americas was muted. The results also confirm completion of the Rs 15,000 crore buyback of 60 crore shares at Rs 250 each and a Rs 3,297 crore acquisition payout, which will lift EPS but lower cash and net worth.

Wipro granted ~8.5 million RSUs to subsidiary staff, a ~0.08% dilution with negligible near-term earnings impact.

Wipro granted 83.66 lakh ADS Restricted Stock Units and 1.65 lakh Restricted Stock Units to employees of its subsidiary under its 2024 stock scheme, effective October 6, 2026. The total of about 85.3 lakh units represents roughly 0.08% of outstanding shares, worth about Rs 136 crore at the current price. The cost will be spread over the vesting period, so the impact on profit and EPS over the next 12 months is expected to be negligible, while aiding employee retention.
