Exchange filings and their impact on the company.
- Tata Power signs MoU for Rs 250 cr joint 110kV infra to supply 90 MW to BPCL Mumbai refinery over 24 months.
Tata Power signed an MoU with BPCL to build 110 kV power infrastructure for BPCL's 90 MW PRFCCU project at its Mumbai Refinery. The work, to be completed in about 24 months, involves a combined investment of about Rs 250 crore by the two companies. The project will also strengthen Tata Power's transmission network in Trombay to support future industrial demand.
- Tata Power flags 2.8 GW+ data-centre opportunity across 18 operators, adding long-term growth visibility with limited near-term earnings.
Tata Power said it is advancing a 2.8 GW+ data-centre opportunity pipeline across 29 workstreams with 18 leading operators, comprising about 430 MW of distribution load, 1236 MW of transmission-linked opportunities and 1150 MW of green energy. It is upgrading its Mumbai transmission network as part of a Rs 15,000 crore grid plan to serve hyperscale demand. This is a pipeline, not signed orders, so near-term revenue impact is small but it strengthens long-term growth visibility from AI and digital infrastructure.
- TPREL commissioned 419 MW in Q2 and guides to 9.3 GW by FY27-end, accelerating renewables earnings.
Tata Power Renewables commissioned 419 MW of utility-scale solar/wind and 131.2 MWhr of battery storage in Q2 FY27, up over 130% from 182 MW last year, taking H1 execution to 645 MW and operational capacity to 7.2 GW plus 281 MWhr storage. Key projects included Jewali wind (100.8 MW), Kalasar solar+BESS (227.5 MW + 101.2 MWhr) and captive projects for Kayathar and Tata Steel. The company expects over 2 GW in H2 to reach close to 9.3 GW by FY27-end and ~12 GW in FY28, strengthening its clean-energy growth pipeline.
- TP Solar hit near full utilization with 2 GW modules in H1 FY27, adding 3-5% to revenue and supporting margins.
TP Solar, Tata Power's solar manufacturing arm, produced 1 GW of modules and 0.9 GW of cells in Q2 FY27, taking H1 FY27 output to 2 GW of modules and 1.8 GW of cells. The modules are DCR-compliant and ALMM-listed from its 4.3 GW Tirunelveli plant built with nearly Rs 4,300 crore investment. The strong ramp-up to near full utilization supports Tata Power's renewables growth, import substitution and margins over the next year.
- Tata Power to test a tiny 300 kWp membrane-based floating solar pilot with Norway's Ocean Sun at Mulshi.
Tata Power has partnered with Norway's Ocean Sun to bring membrane-based floating solar technology to India. The two will set up a ~300 kWp pilot at Tata Power's Mulshi reservoir in Maharashtra to test generation, reliability, installation time, O&M and cost versus conventional floating solar. The pilot is very small versus Tata Power's 26 GW portfolio, so it has no meaningful near-term financial impact but could build know-how for future floating solar deployment.
