Latest announcements
Exchange filings and their impact on the company.
- Adani Power won a 25-year 1,234 MW UPCL supply deal needing a new 1,320 MW thermal plant.
Adani Power received a Letter of Award from Uttarakhand Power Corporation for 1,234 MW ex-bus supply from 1,320 MW of thermal capacity under a 25-year power supply agreement. The award was after competitive bidding and is subject to Uttarakhand Electricity Regulatory Commission approval of tariff. It locks in a large long-term contracted revenue stream but will require building new capacity, so no sales contribution is expected in the next 12 months while early capex begins.
- Adani Power added a 770 MW Bhutan hydro JV with no near-term earnings but long-term clean-energy optionality.
Adani Power signed a shareholders agreement on October 5, 2026 with Bhutan's Druk Green Power to build the 770 MW Chamkharchhu-I hydropower project under a 49:51 joint venture on a 30-year BOOT concession. Construction is to start in the first half of 2027 with commissioning six years after groundbreaking, as part of a broader 5,000 MW Bhutan partnership. The project adds long-term hydro capacity and India-export potential but contributes no revenue in the next 12 months with only initial equity funding required.
