Transport Corporation of India reported Q2 FY27 consolidated revenue of Rs 1,388 crore, up about 15% from last year, with half-year revenue of Rs 2,636.5 crore. Net profit was largely flat at Rs 116.9 crore in Q2 and Rs 223.5 crore in the half year as higher depreciation and staff costs offset growth, led by strong Seaways performance. The board also approved raising up to Rs 300 crore via secured listed NCDs on private placement to fund expansion, appointed a CEO-Designate for Seaways, and noted the Rs 150 crore buyback at Rs 960 per share is in progress.
- TCI to buy back 2.03% of shares at Rs 960 for Rs 150 cr, lifting EPS ~2% and cutting net worth ~6%.

Record date was October 9, 2026, with the offer open October 15-22, 2026, and promoters holding 68.66% will not participate. The small buyback at about 12.7% premium to market price should modestly lift EPS and return surplus cash without hurting operations.
