Latest announcements
Exchange filings and their impact on the company.
- Record output, 45% revenue jump, two-notch upgrade and Rs 102 cr debt cut put Steel Exchange on a faster growth and deleveraging path.
Steel Exchange India reported its highest-ever Re-Bar production of 69,617 MT in Q2 FY27, with September at a record 25,095 MT after the new Reheating Furnace lifted monthly capability by 27%. Q2 consolidated revenue grew about 45% YoY and 25% QoQ. Infomerics upgraded its long-term rating two notches to BBB+/Stable and short-term to A2, while the company repaid Rs 102 crore debt including Rs 43.19 crore NCDs, and signed a 4-year iron ore fines MoU with NMDC plus approvals for Amaravati capital projects and defence use.
- Record Q2 revenue of ~Rs 340cr (+45% YoY) signals a strong turnaround with sharply higher volumes and profits.
Steel Exchange India reported provisional Q2 FY27 consolidated revenue of about Rs 340 crore, up ~45% year-on-year and ~25% quarter-on-quarter. The growth was driven by record quarterly re-bar production of 69,465 MT, including a best-ever month of 25,095 MT in September 2026, helped by the new reheating furnace improving yields. The company said this marks further progress in its turnaround and it is also expanding into higher-margin specialty steels under the PLI scheme.
- Paid Rs 2.8 cr scheduled NCD principal plus Rs 1.49 cr interest on time.
Steel Exchange India paid its scheduled October debt servicing on 7 October 2026. It repaid Rs 2.8 crore of secured NCD principal, cutting face value per bond from Rs 387,345 to Rs 380,037, leaving Rs 145.48 crore outstanding, and paid Rs 1.49 crore monthly interest on time. The on-time payment avoids any default but the amount is too small to materially change debt or earnings.
- Record quarterly re-bar output after RHF commissioning points to sustainably higher volumes.
Steel Exchange India reported its highest-ever re-bar production of 25,095 tonnes in September 2026 and 69,617 tonnes for the July-September 2026 quarter. The record was driven by the newly commissioned Reheating Furnace, which contributed 7,417 tonnes in September and 14,883 tonnes over August-September alongside 17,678 tonnes from the existing continuous casting route. The company says the enhanced capability will be sustained, supporting higher utilisation of its SIMHADRI TMT rolling mill going forward.
