Punjab National Bank held its Q2 FY27 earnings call on 16 October 2026 after reporting net profit of Rs 5,532 crore, up 12.8% year-on-year. Management highlighted domestic net interest margin improving 10 basis points to 2.74%, advances growing 14.7% to Rs 13.41 lakh crore and deposits to Rs 17.77 lakh crore, with gross NPA down to 2.55% and net NPA to 0.25%. The bank guided for further NIM improvement of 7-9 basis points from the repo hike, credit costs of 0.25-0.30% and ROA above 1% with ROE of 15-17%.
- PNB approved Q2 FY27 results; prior trend points to continued revenue and profit growth.
Punjab National Bank's board on 16 October 2026 approved the unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter and half-year ended 30 September 2026. The meeting ran from 2:45 pm to 4:15 pm and the results with limited review report will be placed on the bank's website. Detailed Q2 numbers were not readable in the extracted text, but the bank entered the quarter on a rising profit trend with Jun 2026 net profit of Rs 5,835 crore.
- PNB raised its repo-linked lending rate by 25 bps to 8.35%, giving a small near-term boost to interest income and margins.
Punjab National Bank said it will raise its Repo Linked Lending Rate from 8.10% to 8.35% from 8 October 2026, after the RBI raised the repo rate on 7 October 2026. The 25 basis point rise includes a 0.35% spread, while MCLR and Base Rate are unchanged. This should modestly support the bank's interest income and margins over the next year as repo-linked loans reprice.
