- Premier formalises BESS JV with Germany's RCT for 12 GWh plant, 6 GWh Phase I by FY27-28 – no near-term sales, capex ahead.
Premier Energies' wholly-owned subsidiary Premier Battery Technologies signed a Share Allotment cum Shareholders Agreement on Oct 15, 2026 with RCT Nexor Energy (RCT Group, Germany) and JV company Premier Energies Storage Solutions. The JV will build a 12 GWh battery energy storage systems factory at Seetharampur, Telangana, including a 6 GWh Phase I expected in FY27-28 for residential, commercial, industrial and utility uses. RCT will get 15% of the JV via milestone-linked allotments in four tranches plus an option for an extra 5% after Phase I. This gives Premier a technology partner for entry into storage; it means construction capex over the next year with revenue only after commissioning in FY27-28.
- Premier won Rs 4,001 crore of solar cell, module and EPC orders in Q2, backing its newly doubled capacity.
Premier Energies secured new orders worth Rs 4,001 crore in July-September 2026 for 2,308 MW of solar cell and module supplies plus EPC execution from power producers, module makers and EPC firms. The company said module capacity has nearly doubled to 11.1 GW and cell capacity rose to 10.6 GW after commissioning a 7 GW TOPCon plant at Naidupeta last month. The strong inflow validates demand for its expanded integrated capacity and supports revenue and earnings growth over the next year.
