- NRB Industrial Bearings names 33-year bearing-industry veteran as manufacturing head.
NRB Industrial Bearings has appointed Mr. M. B. Ravi Shankar as Head-Manufacturing and Senior Management Personnel with effect from October 28, 2026. He is 59, a mechanical engineer with over 33 years in manufacturing and plant operations, including bearing industry roles. The hire adds experienced shop-floor leadership but carries no immediate financial impact, with any gains to come gradually from better efficiency and quality.
- Q2 sales grew ~20% but losses, rising debt and negative net worth keep balance sheet stressed.
NRB Industrial Bearings reported Q2 FY27 standalone revenue of Rs 21.41 crore, up from Rs 17.86 crore a year ago, with net loss narrowing slightly to Rs 6.85 crore from Rs 7.02 crore. For H1, revenue was Rs 40.31 crore with a net loss of Rs 13.57 crore, while total borrowings rose to Rs 154.3 crore and net worth was negative at Rs 59-62 crore. The board also appointed M. B. Ravi Shankar, a bearing-industry veteran, as Head-Manufacturing. The growth in sales is offset by continued losses, cash burn and higher debt, leaving the company dependent on promoter support.
