NDTV approved up to Rs 800 cr in perpetual debt while losses continue, sharply raising leverage.

NDTV reported its unaudited results for the quarter and half year ended September 2026 and its board approved raising up to Rs 800 crore through unsecured perpetual debentures on a private placement basis in tranches. The proposed debt is larger than the company's market value of about Rs 685 crore and its FY26 revenue of Rs 528 crore. While the funds provide liquidity for operations and expansion, they will sharply increase debt and interest costs for an already loss-making broadcaster.
