Latest announcements
Exchange filings and their impact on the company.
- 28 Oct 2026UpdatesLow impactPositiveKVB to open new branches on 30 Oct 2026 - tiny network expansion with negligible 12-month earnings impact.
Karur Vysya Bank informed exchanges that it will inaugurate new branches on 30th October 2026. The extracted filing does not disclose the number or locations of the branches. It is a routine network expansion that will add only marginal business and cost over the next 12 months and is immaterial to near-term earnings.
- KVB cut all MCLR tenors by 20 bps from 22 Oct 2026, a small drag on NIM and earnings.
Karur Vysya Bank has cut its Marginal Cost of Funds Based Lending Rates by 20 basis points across all tenors with effect from 22 October 2026. The one-year MCLR falls to 9.25% from 9.45%, with overnight and one-month to 8.85%, three-month to 9.00% and six-month to 9.15%. The cut will lower interest on MCLR-linked loans as they reset, slightly pressuring interest income and margins while potentially supporting loan demand.
- KVB posts 37% YoY Q2 profit jump on 20% loan growth, lower provisions and best-ever asset quality.
Karur Vysya Bank reported Q2 FY27 net profit of Rs 787.7 crore, up 37% from a year ago, and half-year profit of Rs 1543.4 crore, up 41%. Interest earned grew 15% to Rs 3235 crore as advances rose 20% to Rs 1.11 lakh crore and deposits rose 16% to Rs 1.28 lakh crore. Asset quality improved to a record with gross NPA at 0.69% and net NPA at 0.18%, while return on assets rose to 2.10%.
- KVB adds Zurich Kotak general insurance to its bancassurance shelf for small incremental fee income.
Karur Vysya Bank has signed an agreement with Zurich Kotak General Insurance Company for distribution of general insurance products to its customers. The bank said this is in the ordinary course of business as part of its regular bancassurance activity. No financial terms, investment or targets were disclosed, so the tie-up is expected to add only a small fee-income stream over the next year.
- 25 bps EBR hike modestly lifts NII and margins.
Karur Vysya Bank raised its External Benchmark Rate linked to repo (EBR-R) from 8.55% to 8.80%, effective 8 October 2026. The 25 basis points increase will raise interest rates on EBR-linked loans. This should modestly support net interest income and margins over the next year.
