Grasim starts 50,000 TPA epichlorohydrin plant at Vilayat to expand chlor-alkali derivatives.

Grasim Industries commenced commercial production at its 50,000 tonnes per annum Epichlorohydrin plant at Vilayat, Gujarat on 21 October 2026. The company said the plant strengthens its downstream chlor-alkali derivatives portfolio. At full utilisation the plant could add around Rs 550 crore annual sales, which is small versus Grasim's consolidated sales of over Rs 1.75 lakh crore, so near-term earnings impact is modest.
