- GPIL set up a Rs 1-lakh WOS to enter battery-storage and renewable EPC, with no near-term financial impact.
Godawari Power and Ispat incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary, Godawari Energy Solutions Private Limited, in Maharashtra on October 17, 2026. The subsidiary starts with Rs 1 lakh capital (10,000 shares of Rs 10 each) fully held by GPIL and will pursue EPC and O&M work in battery energy storage, renewable energy and power infrastructure. With only nominal initial capital and no orders disclosed, there is no near-term financial impact, but it creates a dedicated vehicle for future clean-energy EPC growth.
- GPIL sold another 3.35 lakh JPL shares for Rs 10 cr, cutting its stake to 38.27% in a small non-core cash realization.
Godawari Power & Ispat has transferred another 335,100 shares in its associate Jammu Pigments on 13 October 2026 for Rs 10 crore, at the agreed fair value of Rs 298.45 per share. Issued capital rose to 67.35 crore shares; the impact is tiny with about 0.04% dilution, but the conversion at a premium to market price adds cash to equity.
- Subsidiary gets environment clearance to build a 20 GWh battery storage plant in Maharashtra.
Godawari Power and Ispat said its wholly owned subsidiary Godawari New Energy received a fresh environment clearance on 5 October 2026 for construction of an industrial building at AURIC Bidkin, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra.
